Say yo!!! hey there,

Before i start off with anything that has gotta do with my title, i wanna say that its cool to see that our course finally has its own blog though it seems kinda late 'coz its like the final year, but that's the whole point about. This blog ain't gonna just function for all of us for just that small amount of time till the day we graduate, it's gonna be where we can get all of us together no matter where you are in the future ahead.^^ Peace!!

Okay, back to the topic. BioMed T-Shirts....i've been handling the forms for the T-shirts, and apparently i'm gonna need some re-confirmation from you guys for the number of T-Shirts....do comment or see me in person, or you may contact me at 016-9000475.

I know that I’ve posted this in my personal blog, I still think it is worth sharing with our other coursemates… so here goes…

This sem, we’re all studying Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. A friend of mine sent me an E-mail of microbes…

These microbes are dangerous and some are highly infectious… but some genius make these microbes into cute cuddly toys!

Bacteria - Bookworm

Bacteria - Gonorrhoea

Bacteria – Cold

Bacteria – E. Coli

This one is dangerous… see the fork and knife?  It’s flesh-eating bacteria…

This one is headlice

Kissing Disease… Epstein Barr Virus (EPV)

Rabies…

 

Bacteria that cause bad breath. Oh ya, bacteria = plural. Bacterium = singular.

Microbe that causes your pimples…

Syphilis…

Sleeping sickness disease

Bacteria that cause sore throat (Tonsillitis)

This one causes dysentery / stomach-ache.

This one causes ulcers…

This one is cute… like the cow… haha… it’s the brewer’s yeast… if not mistaken, it is Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

The deadly one… HIV

Another EXTREMELY deadly one… faster than HIV… the Ebola Virus…

This one causes flu… note that flu and cold have almost similar symptoms but they are not caused by the same bacteria/virus.

I’m not sure about this… this one is black death… hmm…

This one causes you to cough.

Heartworm… wah!

This one causes malaria… it’s a plasmodium.

Mange…. hmm

this is the neuron in your brain…

This one looked like chicken… therefore, it is called chickenpox.

This is your body’s fat cells…

Herpes virus

Red blood cell…

Fungi… toxic mold

White blood cells…

This one has eyes that looked like going to explode… causes rabies.

Last one… salmonella… can cause you to ‘lau sai’ a few days and go into the hospital… haha
