Isoelectric Focusing Electrophoresis

So here’s a quick post on how the IEF Electrophoresis is done…

We’ve hydrated our gels right? And the gels are placed on ceramic tray…

Then, the gels are placed and coated with mineral oil again (Cover fluid). The electrode rack is placed over the paper, NOT the gel. The reason is to avoid direct contact to the gel.
